清水斷崖 Suao-Hualien Highway

臺灣東岸的一大奇景，更是臺灣八大景之一。清水斷崖高一千多公尺，以極近90度的角度緊臨太平洋，公路綿延20多公里，蜿蜒曲折，一邊是懸崖峭壁，一邊是茫茫大海，形勢險峻，氣象萬千，令人膽戰心驚，嘆為觀止。

The 20-kilometer stretch of highway between Chongde and Heping is the most tortuous and spectacular section of the Suao-Hualien Highway. Cliffs of gneiss and marble from sheer drops of more than a thousand meters, and the road winds its way precariously between the cliffs on one side and the ocean on the other.
