白沙灣海水浴場 Baisha Bay

白色部份則是「貝殼沙」，由海浪將淺海的珊瑚礁、貝殼打碎，捲帶上岸，由於貝殼沙較輕，在海水風浪作用之下，貝殼沙覆蓋在其他的沙之上，於是呈現一片白色沙灘的景觀，黑色的沙則是黑灰色的火山岩風化而成。

The white “shell sand” at the Baisha Bay consists of shattered coral reefs and shells washed off to the shore from nearby shallow seas. Because shell sand is light in weight, it covers up the heavier native sands day by day and makes the beach white.
